New Moon in Libra — Last Call for Balance Before Scorpio Season
Date: October 21 2025
Time: ~8:25 a.m. ET (Toronto)
Sky Show: Orionid Meteor Shower peaks Oct 21–22 ⭐
⚖️ The Final Breath of Libra Season
This New Moon lands at the very last degree of Libra — the sign of harmony, fairness, and give-and-take. It’s our cosmic reminder to recalibrate before the Sun slides into deep-feeling Scorpio tomorrow.
You may already sense that pull inward — that craving for honesty, truth, and emotional intensity. We’ve had a taste of it already with Mars and Pluto stirring the waters last week, hinting that transformation is close.
Libra wants peace. Scorpio wants depth.
Together they whisper: “Make peace, but make it real.”
💫 What Makes This New Moon Special
- Anaretic (29°) Libra energy: the Universe gives a “last-call” moment to reset patterns in relationships, beauty, and personal balance.
- Venus rules this lunation, and she’s in her home sign Libra, blessing us with grace and attraction.
- Mars in Scorpio lends courage to have the real conversations.
- Saturn in Pisces supports boundaries with compassion.
🌠 The Orionid Meteor Shower — A Toronto Treat
Yes! You can see the Orionids from Toronto if skies are clear. Best viewing hours are after midnight through the early dawn of Oct 21 – 22, when the radiant (from Orion’s shoulder, near Betelgeuse) rises high. Expect 10 – 20 fast, bright meteors per hour — and this year the New Moon’s darkness makes the show extra spectacular.
Spiritually, meteor showers are like cosmic exclamation marks — flashes of inspiration reminding us that intentions matter. Write yours down, look up, and whisper them to the stars.
🪞 Tarot Insight: The Six of Pentacles — Give, Receive, Repeat
In my tarot practice, one theme keeps surfacing: balance in giving and receiving.
This card reminds us that generosity without boundaries drains us — and that receiving with gratitude completes the energetic circle.
Under this Libra New Moon, ask yourself:
“Do I give to prove my worth, or to share my light?”
“Do I receive with openness, or with guilt?”
Harmony lives in the middle.
🌙 Do’s and Don’ts
DO:
✅ Refresh one relationship, contract, or habit so it feels more mutual.
✅ Beautify your workspace or online presence — Venus wants visual harmony.
✅ Set intentions that balance inner peace with outer progress.
AVOID:
🚫 People-pleasing or sugar-coating truths — Mars + Pluto see through it.
🚫 Over-giving to stay liked — self-respect is sexy.
🚫 Avoiding decisions — Libra hesitation can stall momentum.
🔮 Tarot Energy of This New Moon
Overall Card – Justice (Libra)
The mirror of truth. Justice calls for inner balance and honest action. If something’s been lopsided — emotionally, financially, or energetically — this New Moon helps you reset the scales. Make your choices with integrity, not impulse.
Planetary Influence – The Hanged Man (Saturn in Pisces)
The art of sacred pause. Saturn in Pisces asks us to slow down and trust divine timing. The Hanged Man teaches that surrender isn’t weakness — it’s wisdom. When you release control, clarity flows in.
Together, these cards align truth (Justice) with trust (The Hanged Man) — the perfect duo for setting balanced, soulful intentions.
🔥 Libra New Moon Ritual (5 Minutes of Magic)
1️⃣ Draw two columns: What I Give / What I Receive
2️⃣ Circle one imbalance and write a single line to shift it.
3️⃣ Light a candle, add a flower, or play a soft song — something beautiful.
4️⃣ Speak your intention aloud:
“I invite relationships, routines, and moments that feel fair, calm, and true.”
Let this ritual carry you through the next two weeks until the Full Moon, when it’s time to release, recalibrate, and rise again.
🦂 From Balance to Transformation
Tomorrow the Sun moves into Scorpio, the alchemist of the zodiac. We transition from seeking peace to craving truth — from the mirror to the depth beneath it.
What begins under this Libra New Moon will evolve through Scorpio’s lens — emotionally charged, raw, and real.
The Libra New Moon is the perfect time for tarot readings and intention setting — a chance to restore balance, trust your intuition, and plant the energetic seeds that will bloom by the Full Moon. https://truthtarot.ca/what-does-it-cost-for-a-tarot-reading/
