Some weeks ask us to push forward.

This one asks us to be more selective.

Where is your emotional energy going? What deserves your attention — and what are you ready to stop feeding?

Our guiding tarot cards for September 14–18 are:

Five of Cups • The Devil • Queen of Swords • Three of Wands • Seven of Wands

The progression is clear:

Feel it. See it. Get clear. Look forward. Protect what matters.

Monday — Five of Cups

Feel It, But Don’t Stay There

The Moon moves into Scorpio while the Virgo Sun connects supportively with Mars, bringing emotional depth with enough motivation to do something useful with what we’re feeling.

The Five of Cups acknowledges disappointment.

Something may not have worked out as hoped, or you may simply be noticing where life doesn’t quite match the picture you had in mind.

Feel it.

But don’t let one disappointment convince you that everything is disappointing.

Ask: What is still here for me?

Tuesday — The Devil

Notice What Has Too Much Power

Tuesday brings one of the week’s strongest transits as Venus in Scorpio squares Pluto in Aquarius.

And we pulled The Devil.

This card asks us to notice where we’ve become hooked — on a person, thought, fear, habit, outcome or need for reassurance.

Rather than immediately trying to get rid of it, ask:

Why am I giving this so much power?

This Venus–Pluto transit deserves a closer look, so I’ll be sharing a separate blog on how to move through its intensity with a little more clarity and grace.

For now, simply notice what has your attention.

Wednesday — Queen of Swords

Get Clear

By Wednesday afternoon, the Moon enters Sagittarius, and the atmosphere begins to lift.

The Queen of Swords doesn’t ignore emotion — she simply doesn’t let it distort the facts.

What do you actually know?

What are you assuming?

What boundary would make things clearer?

Sometimes clarity is simply being able to say:

This works for me.

Or:

This doesn’t anymore.

Thursday — Three of Wands

Look Forward

Thursday brings some of the week’s most supportive energy as the Sagittarius Moon connects with Mercury, Saturn and Jupiter.

The Three of Wands asks us to lift our eyes from what’s already happened.

Where do I want to go from here?

There may be an idea, opportunity or possibility that deserves more energy than the thing you’ve been worrying about.

You don’t need the whole plan.

You just need to recognize the direction worth exploring.

Friday — Seven of Wands

Protect What You’re Building

Friday brings a reality check as Mercury opposes Saturn, followed by the First Quarter Moon in Sagittarius.

The Seven of Wands reminds us:

Not everything deserves your response.

Not everyone deserves access to your energy.

And not every doubt deserves the power to change your direction.

If you’ve spent the week getting clearer about what matters, Friday asks you to stand behind it.

Protect the progress you’re making.

The Message of the Week

Five of Cups: Acknowledge the disappointment.
The Devil: Notice what you’re giving too much power.
Queen of Swords: Get clear about what is true.
Three of Wands: Turn toward what comes next.
Seven of Wands: Protect what matters.

We begin the week looking at what hurts.

We end it standing up for what matters.

And somewhere in between, we realize:

I don’t have to give everything my energy, simply because it has my attention.

You can acknowledge something without living inside it.

You can care without becoming consumed by it.

You can change direction.

And you can protect the energy you need for the life you’re trying to create.

Return to Yourself

Tarot isn’t about handing your power over to the cards. It’s about creating enough space to hear yourself more clearly.
